Here is how...
First you need to decide whether you are going to set it all up yourself or if you should get a professional to do it for you. Both options do have their good and not so good points. So our recommendation to you is actually quite simple, you need to do a mix of the two. Certain things the Professionals most likely can do better than you can, for instance, designing a website. But you are the one with the business idea and the knowledge of the product or service you are offering, so you should know that part of it better than the professional.
Do you have the knowledge and skills to set up your own web site? Well, we will help you through that part of it, by giving you very straight-forward pointers on how to do it.
Step 1 & 2: Domain Name & Webhosting
>>Click here for a simple explanation of Domain Name and Web Hosting<<
You need to get a Domain name and a Web Hosting service. Our recommended partners below are all offering reliable and affordable domain registration and web hosting services, so the first two steps are easy, and you don't need a Professional to do it for you:
Dotster.com
- Reliable and affordable domain registration and web hosting.
BlueHost.com - Web Hosting - $6.95/mo!

IX Webhostings Expert Plan - Domain Registration & Top Rated Web Hosting - $3.95/mo

Step 3: Web Design
>>Click here for a simple explanation of Web Design<<
Here you have a few options:
- Customized designs made for you by professional web design companies....often expensive
- Friends making it for you.....cheaper, but sometimes not up to par
- Learn it yourself and Do it yourself.... cheap, but often amatuer feel to it & time-consuming!
- Use Web Templates....professional feel to it, but can you find a template that will fit your needs?
We recommend, that you first pick a web template that you like. Our recommended partner TemplateMonster has a large selection of professional looking web templates, so we are confident that you will find a web template that you'll like at TemplateMonster.

Step 4: Web Copy (text)
"Web Copy" simply means "the written text on your website". You really should be the one writing the text for your own website, as you are the one who knows your products, services, and company the best. If you find it hard to formulate yourself in a professional way, then explain it to a friend who can write and let your friend put your ideas into words and text.
Step 5: Upload Web template to Web host server
So far, you have been able to do it all by yourself. We recommend that you use a Professional to do the next step (unless you already know how to do it), as this step can seem a bit "technical".
You need to upload your Web template to the Web Hosting service. Then you need to insert your Web copy text and images of your products in your template. To be able to do the respective tasks, you will need certain software to handle the editing of your templates and that can connect and upload your material to the Web Host. We recommend that you use Macromedia's Dreamweaver to do the job for you.
If you hire a Professional to do this step, then make sure you have them explain to you how it works, so that you will understand this step, as it will become useful for you in the future...
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You now have a professional looking website.
Step 6: Keep updating and improving your website
Now, you have a website that will give your company a professional appearance (when visitors see your website).
The big surprise/secret: You have a brand-new, great looking website, but if you needed the website for more than just a "pretty face", and actually were hoping that visitors would find your site and purchase your products, then you still have a long way to go. At this point, noone will know that your website exists which means your new website will create exactly ZERO sales. A lot of very intelligent business owners, but new selling online, are often surprised to hear that fact. It is a very common mistake to think that now I have a website, now I can sell online.
If this all came as a surprise to you, then you need to >>READ MORE HERE<< to understand it better.
If it is not a surprise to you, then you are ready to go to the next level: ONLINE MARKETING where you will realize that having a website is an ongoing process where you need to keep updating and improving your website. Since it is a continuing process, you will now understand why you really should teach yourself at least the basics of Web business, so that you can update and improve your own site in the future.
